My Approach 

📝 Step 1 : Initial Assessment

During this first chat, I’ll listen to why you have contacted me, what sort of support you are looking for, and what you’re hoping to change. If we meet in person, please don’t feel you need to tidy up - it’s actually helpful for me to see things just as they are, so I can better understand how to support you. Don’t worry everything is confidential and I’m here to help. 

This initial phone call or visit usually takes about 15 minutes. It gives me the insight to be able to tailor a   personalised action plan.

I’ll email or leave you with a paper copy of my terms and conditions to look over - If you’d like to go ahead and work with me, just get in touch when you are ready to book your first session.

🗃️ Step 2 : 1st Session

😮‍💨For lots of people deciding to get help with their belongings is a big step - especially if they feel that their home is very cluttered. It’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous before your first session. Once we get started, most clients feel a huge sense of relief. 

I arrive at your home in my black Mini - no advertising, just me. There’s no corporate uniform either. I wear a practical T - shirt, cargo pants and trainers. 

We will begin by looking at your action plan - we can adjust it if it doesn’t feel quite right.

Next I’ll check with you that you’re happy for me to open any wardrobes, cupboards, or drawers in the rooms we are working in - let me know if any are private. Same goes for any items you’d like me to avoid touching - for example paperwork or belongings with sentimental value.

We’ll also talk about which items you’d like to keep for now, and which you’re happy to let go of - for example expired food.

Then we’ll begin the declutterring,  you can be hands on, or step back and guide the process, you may even prefer to be in a different room - it’s up to you. Because every person and situation is unique the                 decluttering and organising/packing will be tailored to meet your individual needs, but will will contain the following :-

• What we’ll focus on first
• What to keep, donate, or let go of
• Any homework (if you want it)
• Daily/Weekly/monthly timetables to maintain and keep on top of household chores (if you want it)
• Packing/unpacking and storage solutions 

If you need more than one decluttering and organising/packing session, rest assured- I’ll always leave your space tidy at the end of each visit.
